Crowe Clark Whitehill
The tax, audit, and advisory firm has appointed Jane MacKay as a partner. She joins from Grant Thornton, where she headed up transaction tax for the Thames Valley. MacKay has previously worked as a senior tax manager at Crowe Clark Whitehill.
Dentons
The law firm has announced the appointment of London partner Jeremy Cohen as UK, Middle East and Africa chief executive. He has been a partner at Dentons since 2000, and leads its UK, Middle East and Africa corporate and technology, media and telecommunications division. His practice incorporates public and private M&A and equity capital markets work.
Linklaters
Scott Bowie has been appointed head of the law firm’s global US practice. He joined Linklaters in 2005 to add US law capability to its Investment Management Group (IMG), and has been head of the IMG since 2010. Bowie will now sit on Linklaters’s Executive Committee.
Montreux Capital Management
The investment firm has appointed Dr Steven Newbery as an adviser to its Commodity Trading Fund. He is a geologist and small cap mining entrepreneur, and has more than 25 years’ experience in the discovery of base and precious metals. Newbery is the founder of the MLI Group of companies.
Baker & McKenzie
The law firm has announced the appointment of Kieran Whyte as an energy partner in South Africa. He joins from DLACliffe Dekker Hofmeyr, where he was national head of projects and infrastructure. Whyte has over 25 years’ experience.
Doddle
The click and collect company and parcel service has appointed Dawn Desai as sales and business development director. She joins from NCR Corporation, where she has worked for 12 years and was most recently vice president of sales, Western Europe.
Towers Watson
The professional services firm has announced the appointment of Eric Speer to lead its risk and financial services business segment, effective 1 July 2015. He has worked at Towers Watson for 25 years, and currently serves as global lead for its risk consulting and software business.
