Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking
Michael Bond has been appointed mid markets relationship director in the bank’s technology, media and telecommunications team in London. He previously held a similar role at Lloyds, looking after clients in the education, communities and government sector across the South East.
State Street Global Advisors
State Street’s asset management arm has appointed Altaf Kassam as head of Europe, Middle East and Africa investment strategy and research in its investment solutions group. He joins from MSCI, where he led a team focused on educating institutional investors on analysing, designing and using factor based portfolios. Kassam has also held sell-side resaerch positions at UBS Investment Bank, Deutsche Bank and Goldman Sachs, and began his career as a founding member of the equity derivatives research team at SBC Warburg.
KPMG
Richard Kelly has been appointed audit partner in the professional services firm’s UK real estate team. He was most recently an audit partner and national head of construction sector at BDO. Kelly started his career in 1989 as a graduate at Arthur Andersen, working his way up to partner, before moving to RSM Robson Rhodes.
Serco
The outsourced services provider has appointed Kate Steadman as group strategy director. She joins from Sodexo Group, where she is currently senior vice president for strategy in its global government and agencies business. Steadman has previously advised senior politicians in the fields of criminal justice, home affairs, legal affairs, prisons and probation.
Aviva Investors
The asset management business has announced the appointment of Michael Grady as senior economist and strategist. He joins from COMAC Capital, a global macro hedge fund, where he was responsible for the fundamental analysis used to inform the investment process. Grady has also previously held senior roles at the Bank of England.
CMS
The law firm has announced the appointment of Jonathan Woolf as partner in its corporate team based in London. He joins from BP, where he has been managing counsel of its mergers and acquisitions (M&A) legal team since 2010. Woolf has particular experience in M&A in the oil and gas sector, and he previously practised at Linklaters in London and Hong Kong.
