Blue Square Bet Winter Carnival
It’s great to welcome back the Blue Square Bet Sprint Series at Lingfield Park again, the highlight of the Blue Square Bet Winter Carnival.
The popularity of the Series has grown remarkably over the past two years and we’ve been rewarded with two full divisions of 12 runners in tomorrow’s first leg.
The Series is a six furlong feature held every Saturday with a Grand Prix style points system rewarding runners, riders and trainers down to sixth place. It consists of seven rounds of six furlong sprints with the Grand Final, worth a huge £17,500, taking place on Saturday 23 February.
We are offering odds on the leading jockey and leading trainer of the series, who both receive a £1,000 prize. Our exclusive Blue Square Bet blogger Luke Morris is the market leader in the jockey’s race at 7/2, while last year’s winner, William Carson, is next in at 9/2.
David Evans, who is going for a third straight trainer’s title, is the hot 6/4 favourite.
Looking at tomorrow’s action and my selection in the first division (1.25pm) is the old boy DVINSKY. He is well drawn in stall three and has dropped to a winnable mark.
I fancy CATALINAS DIAMOND in the second division (2.00pm). She has a good draw in four and has one of the top speed figures in the field.
Make sure you bet with Blue Square Bet as we are giving you your money back (up to £50) if you finish second, beaten less than half a length, in all Blue Square Bet Sprint Series races.
