THE PROPERTY industry can be a pretty glamorous place but staff at Jones Lang LeSalle’s Warwick Street office have some hefty competition from one of their neighbours. The office’s big windows look down to the Sanctum Soho Hotel (often referred to as London’s “rock and roll hotel”). “There’s often paparazzi parked outside and you think it’s pretty exciting,” Guy Grainger, Jones Lang LeSalle’s UK chief executive told The Capitalist. But he admits it’s often a disappointment. “Flashbulbs go off and you look over and it’s just someone from TOWIE.” Never mind…
David Cameron showed off his deft rebuttal skills at PMQs yesterday. In a bid to stop all further talk of his “women problem” (he stands accused of not having enough women on his team) he showed up to Westminster flanked with a harem of ladies. There were seven women on the front bench, four directly behind him and three in the row behind them. A change from last week’s male dominated front bench and through the TV lenses it certainly looked like it was ladies day. Shame there were only a handful of women in the rest of the chamber.
