WOMEN TAKE MORE SEATS ON FTSE 100 BOARDS
THE proportion of women on the boards of FTSE 100 firms has risen to 16.7 per cent from 12.5 per cent in 2011, according to new figures from the Department of Business. The news will add steam to business secretary Vince Cable’s insistence that quotas to force board diversity are unnecessary. Recent appointments include Lucinda Bell, finance director at British Land.
