When does Aberdeen declare referendum results of Scottish independence vote?
Aberdeen is due to announce the result of the Scottish independence referendum vote in the early hours of Friday morning.
The count is expected to come in at 6am and the city is the very last areas in Scotland to declare the results of the vote.
Aberdeen makes up 4.1 per cent of the Scottish electorate, the country's eighth largest area of 32 local authorities in Scotland.
The size of Aberdeen’s electorate compared to other cities that will have declared earlier means the overall result may have already been decided before Aberdeen declares.
While it will be the last to declare, Edinburgh is the city playing host to the final declaration of the overall national referendum result due at around the same time.
