VE Day 2015 in pictures: This is how London marked the occasion
On 8 May 1945, then Prime Minister Winston Churchill broadcast to the UK that World War II was over, as the Allied forces had successfully defeated Nazi Germany.
Victory in Europe (VE) day, as it is known, has been celebrated across the continent every year since then, and Londoners never fail to pay their respects to those who died during the six-year war.
This weekend, events were put on across the capital to mark the occasion, including a huge music concert in St James's Park and a service of remembrance at Westminster. Here's what you might have missed, in pictures.
