Usmanov ups share offer
UZBEK oil magnate Alisher Usmanov has upped the ante in the Arsenal power struggle by offering to buy shares at a bigger price than majority stakeholder Stan Kroenke.
Usmanov, who currently owns just over 27 per cent of the north London club, has increased his offer to £14,000-a-share compared to the £12,500 he was understood to be willing to pay last week. Usmanov’s latest request to meet face-to-face with Kroenke has been turned down.
