UK bookies are set to take £100m in wagers today on sports “Super Sunday” of Wimbledon, F1 and Euro 2016
Even if Andy Murray doesn't win at Wimbledon today, UK bookmakers will still have something to celebrate.
Bookies are set to take as much as £100m today on what's been dubbed a sports "Super Sunday", according to William Hill.
Murray will take on Milos Raonic at the Wimbledon finals, Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosenberg will vie for first place at Silverstone and tonight France will take on Portugal in the Euro 2016 semi-final in three major sporting moments driving the pounds from punters' pockets.
Murray is the clear favourite to win today's Wimbledon final, at odds of 2/7 compared to Raonic's 11/4, according to William Hill, while Portugal has odds of 15/8 to win the finals compared to France's 4/9.
A record £2m will be on offer to the winners of the men's grand slam today, up from £1.88m in 2015.
Serena Williams, who won the women's singles yesterday, became the third highest-earning player in history after her defeat of Angelique Kerber.

"Of course we would have liked a Wales or England to reach the Euros final but given that there is British interest at Silverstone and SW19 means that turnover will be through the roof," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
"Plus, despite the lack of a British side in the Euros, Sunday evening’s game will still be one of the biggest betting football matches of all time."
Pubs will also be toasting the hat-trick of major sporting events today – especially the end of the Euros.
The Euro 2016 opening weekend drove an estimated 26 per cent surge in pub takings, while a number of pub groups have said this year's sport-heavy summer will pump up quarterly revenues.
