Uber’s app is about to get a serious makeover
The Uber app is about to get a serious makeover, integrating with other apps such as Snapchat and your calendar to better fit into your life.
It will add a shortcut button to rides that you take often, and integrating with your calendar, will suggest a ride to scheduled meetings automatically without having to find the address and type it in.
The app will make it easier to find people you're meeting too; Via contacts people can share their location.

It also plans to provide other travel information such as trains and buses to let you plan trips using different transport. Snapchat filters, Yelp reviews and Foursquare recommendations will also appear directly in the app.
UberEats, the company's standalone app for food delivery, will also be highlighted in the main app with nearby restaurant suggestions, while the range of travel options such as UberX, UberPool and UberLux will be made easier to navigate.
It's the first major update to the layout of the app since 2012. It will roll out globally in the coming weeks.
The changes are designed to engage riders while they are travelling and also to speed up and streamline the process of ordering a ride.
