Twitter down: Web, app and mobile site are still experiencing outages
Twitter is still experiencing problems this afternoon following an outage this morning.
Users worldwide were prevented from logging into the site on web and mobile browsers for several hours. The site's app also appeared to be hit.
The outage meant people were met with a "something went wrong" message.
Halfway through the morning, Twitter returned for many users, though with some features such as search and hashtags weren't working. Some were greeted with just a blank page.
However, the latest official status update from Twitter said "Some users are currently experiencing problems accessing Twitter. We are aware of the issue and are working towards a resolution."
An earlier update said Twitter had been experiencing issues between 06.23am and 06:33am PST for some users, but that had since been fixed.
According to downdetector's outage map, the issue affected users in Europe, particularly the UK.

And again at 9am, the issue has become more widespread.
