Severe delays have hit the Piccadilly Line this morning as commuters make their way to work.
Eastbound travel is suffering severe delays after a signal fault at Hammersmith, with minor delays affecting westbound journeys.
Transport for London (TfL) advised that tickets are being accepted on local bus and RdL Rail services.
The delays are the second in under a week to affect the Piccadilly Line, which was impacted by a signal failure last Thursday between Acton Town and Uxbridge.
It follows the Northern Line being part suspended during rush hour yesterday evening on the High Barnet branch after an incident at Archway.
TfL is planning work this weekend that will disrupt some lines, with both the London Overground and TfL Rail undergoing a planned closure.
Journeys after 9pm on TfL Rail this Saturday will have to cope with a reduced service between Paddington and Heathrow Terminal 4, with the Action Main Line out of action. On Sunday there will be no service between Liverpool Street and Shenfield.
No Overground services wil run before 10.15am between Liverpool Street and Chingford on Sunday nor between Liverpool Street and Enfield Town / Cheshunt (via Seven Sisters).
