Introducing the Omega Speedmaster Grey Side of the Moon
The idea of an all-grey watch may not seem terribly enticing on paper, but Omega’s latest version of its classic Speedmaster Moonwatch chronograph is a high-tech slice of horological cool. A couple of years ago the brand produced an all-black Moonwatch (so-called because the Speedmaster was worn on the moon by Aldrin and Armstrong), with a lightweight case made from a single piece of ultradurable ceramic, which it called the Dark Side of the Moon. Having discovered an industrial process to turn white ceramic grey, it’s come up with this new alternative, which includes a dial made of sand-blasted platinum. Who said grey had to be dull? £7,970, omega-watches.com
