the INSIDER
England versus New Zealand, plenty of beer and the Breeders’ Cup… it doesn’t get much better than that!
I’m surprised the bookies make Aidan O’Brien’s Master of Hounds the 7/2 favourite for the Breeders’ Cup Turf Juvenile as, apart from his good third in the Racing Post Trophy, he has done very little in his previous four outings. I’m going to side with local runner BANNED (3% e/w) at 16/1 or better as he seems to fit the bill. I reckon this son of Kitten’s Joy is still improving and should like the fast ground.
J.B.’S THUNDER (2% win) in the Juvenile, is a half brother to Doncaster Rover. This son of Thunder Gulch may well try and lead from the gate and I have a feeling he’ll be difficult to pass in the straight.
GOLDIKOVA’S (5% win) draw in the Mile looks harsh, but she is good enough to overcome this set back. I have a suspicion that Beethoven may be a surprise package at a big price, though.
I want Workforce to win the Turf, but I’m a bit unsure whether he is a betting proposition. ZENYATTA (5% win) for the Classic at 5/2 with Ladbrokes is massive price, get in early.
