STRANGE FEELING | Earls has premonition
IRELAND winger Keith Earls has revealed he has “a strange feeling” that they will beat Wales on Sunday and go all the way to the World Cup final.
Not for Earls the sportsman’s cliche of taking each game as it comes; the 24-year-old has already visualised Irish glory and has dared to admit it.
“I have this strange feeling inside me where it feels like everything is going right,” said the Munster and Lions star.
“Everything went right in the group and everyone is so happy. I keep imagining ourselves in the final. I’m concentrating on playing Wales, but it is a strange feeling I have.”
Hooker Rory Best was yesterday named in Ireland’s team despite ongoing concern over a shoulder injury. Ronan O’Gara and Conor Murray retain the half-back partnership, with Jonathan Sexton and Eoin Reddan on the bench.
