Shake up at Dirty Martini as owners appoint advisers for possible sale
The group that runs the Dirty Martini chain of cocktail bars confirmed today it had appointed advisers to examine a sale.
CG Restaurants said it had “received a number of unsolicited approaches, which are being considered in the context of delivering best value to our shareholders.”
It also said: “This may or not result in a sale of part or all of the group.”
CG said it had appointed advisers from Coffer Corporate Leisure to examine its options.
Dirty Martini has seven bars in London, including four in the City.
It also has bars in Birmingham, Manchester, Cardiff and Leeds.
CG, which also operates Covent Garden restaurant Tuttons, said it generates turnover of approximately £30m from its 12 sites.
The group was founded by David Coffer, chair of leisure business Davis Coffer Lyons.
Coffer and his family own around 80 per cent of CG.
The Sunday Times reported Slug & Lettuce owner Stonegate Group was interested in making an offer for CG.
Stonegate said it did not comment on speculation.
