Sepp Blatter to be honoured in China’s £17m football museum
Less than a month after being banned from football for eight years, disgraced former Fifa president Sepp Blatter will be honoured in a new £17m museum in China.
A football museum is opening in China next year in the eastern Shandong province of Linzi which will feature a statue, quotes and photos in tribute to Blatter.
The Linzi Football Museum is opening in an area honoured as the cradle of one of the earliest forms of football by Blatter and Fifa in 2005.

According to reports, the museum's 11,700 square metre front room is dedicated to Blatter and decked with quotes from the Swiss heralding China as the birthplace of football.
Museum director Ma Guoqing told the Telegraph:
The museum's function is to display history and culture – it is not related to politics. We only pay attention to Blatter's contribution with the development of football.
