Savile sees profits surge
HUMAN resources consultancy Savile Group said yesterday that it had seen a 157 per cent growth in full-year pre-tax profit, and that it would pay a dividend for the first time in five years.
The company reported a profit of £1.85m, on revenues of £10.38m, for the year to 30 June. It said that its outplacement and career management business, Fairplace, had benefited from the economic downturn, while its coaching and talent management units, Cedar and IDDAS, had also made progress.
“While we continue to achieve significant growth by building on the strength of our existing brands, we continue to monitor closely opportunities to broaden our market offering through carefully targeted acquisitions,” said Savile’s executive chairman Jonathan Cohen.
He added that the board had recommended paying a dividend of 2.25p per share.
