IN-RUNNING TRADING HINTS
England again only gradually rose through the gears against Ireland. We could probably say they never quite hit fifth, but they only really got going around the time of scoring their first try on 61 minutes. We should therefore look to lay England at their current price of 1.53 and back them, hopefully at longer odds, soon after halftime or around the 50 minute mark – the period when the Red Rose have scored most of their points in this year’s previous Six Nations matches.
Knowing that England have a strong tendency to score many of their points in the early part of the second period, we will also have a terrific trading opportunity if Scotland are leading at the break. The price available on Betdaq for a Scotland / England HT / FT result is currently 8.2, while Scotland/Scotland is available to back at 5. Get on the latter market before kick-off and should Scotland lead after 40 minutes, the price should drop significantly. Lay off before England’s expected peak and lock in a profit.
