RIM shares up on new handsets
Shares in BlackBerry maker Research in Motion (RIM) leapt as much as 10 per cent yesterday as it confirmed it was testing the next generation of handsets with operators, a big step towards the launch of BlackBerry 10, its soon-to-be-released smartphone software which has been repeatedly delayed.
RIM has seen its market share significantly squeezed by Apple and Samsung in recent years.
