Renzi confirms he’s ready to form government
Matteo Renzi says current meetings with Italy's political parties are going well, and he’s confident he’ll be able accept the mandate to form the country's next government on Saturday.
He’ll then seek a vote of confidence from the Italian parliament on Monday, presenting his team and programme.
The mayor of Florence told reporters he’ll be focusing on the political programme tomorrow, reiterating his plans to overhaul the labour market and tax codes.
