Ramsey tipped to score more
IN-FORM Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey can still hit new heights, insists his manager Arsene Wenger.
Ramsey has scored eight goals in 13 games to help the Gunners build a four-point lead at the top of the Premier League ahead of tonight’s visit of Hull.
The Welshman’s displays are in stark contrast to his performance levels last season, when he netted once in 36 league matches, raising question marks over Wenger’s decision to offer him a new long-term contract in December.
And Wenger expects his faith to continue to be repaid.
“I had no doubt. I always felt he had a good attitude, good basic qualities and will come out of that bad patch in a strong way,” he said. “When you are a midfielder you want to defend well, attack well, give assists and score goals.
“At the moment he does all of these four things very well and he can still improve.”
