PROTESTERS HAVE THEIR DAY IN COURT
WAR veterans joined protesters to claim the former Old Street Magistrates’ Court as the fourth Occupy London site, yesterday. The group has renamed the building Occupy Justice and pledged to hold symbolic “trials of the one per cent”, including bankers and politicians blamed for the financial crisis. Yesterday they unveiled an armoured vehicle known as the “tank of ideas” outside the Grade II listed building. The City of London is currently battling in the High Court trying to remove protesters’ tents from outside St Paul’s while an appeal by activists fighting an eviction from a disused UBS building will be heard in the New Year.
