Emma Markiewicz is an archivist and cultural heritage professional who, after a 15-year tenure at The National Archives in Kew, was appointed Director of The London Archives in 2022. She also serves as Senior Responsible Officer for Culture at the City of London Corporation where she leads development of its new Cultural Strategy. Before her career in archives, she trained and worked as a professional archaeologist.
