Premier League: Palace hit back to deny 10-man Swans and boost survival hopes
SWANSEA CITY 1 CRYSTAL PALACE 1
CRYSTAL Palace forward Glenn Murray struck his first Premier League goal yesterday as the Eagles boosted their hopes of avoiding relegation with a late point at fellow strugglers Swansea.
Dutch midfielder Jonathan de Guzman finished a swift attack to put the hosts in front after 25 minutes, but Palace equalised eight minutes from time when Murray was felled by Swans defender Chico Flores, who was sent off, and the former Brighton man despatched the penalty.
The draw leaves the south Londoners in 16th place, three points off the bottom three but with a game in hand on many of their rivals.
Swansea are two points and two positions above Palace, having played a game more.
