Palace hope to appoint new boss tomorrow
CRYSTAL Palace are hopeful their search for a new manager can be concluded this weekend.
The Eagles are languishing at the bottom of the Premier League table and have been on the hunt for a new boss since Ian Holloway’s departure following a 4-1 home defeat to Fulham last month.
Former Chelsea defender Dan Petrescu is favourite with the bookmakers to take over at Selhurst Park, with former Inter Milan boss Andrea Stramaccioni and MK Dons chief Karl Robinson also among the frontrunners.
And Palace chairman Steve Parish is confident a deal is imminent.
“We’re talking to lots of people, getting lots of references. We are quite close,” he said.
“It would be nice to do it on Saturday. It depends on complications, where they are physically, location. All will be revealed soon.”
