London Bridge station area reopens after evacuation due to security alert around Hays Galleria and Tooley Street
A shopping area just a moments walk from London Bridge has reopened after been evacuated by police because of a security alert.
The Met police said they were called to Tooley Street just after midday.
Those working in the area reported being evacuated from nearby buildings and Hays Galleria being cordoned off. The area is host to several shops and restaurants and is less than 10 minutes walk from City Hall and Southwark Crown Court.
We've had reasons to evacuate building close to Hays Galleria SE1. Investigations take time. Will update when we can. Thanks for patience.

Tooley Street between Hays Lane and London Bridge was closed to traffic. It's understood London Bridge Station remained open and trains continued running as normal.
The area was reopened just before 3pm.
