Klasnic shatters Toffees and breaks Bolton duck
SUBSTITUTE Ivan Klasnic struck a late winner to help Bolton survive an Everton comeback and seal a first home win of the season.
The Trotters cruised into a 2-0 lead in the opening 27 minutes after Korean Lee Chung-Yong drilled home and defender Gary Cahill headed home Matthew Taylor’s free-kick.
Toffees striker Louis Saha halved the deficit five minutes later with a wonder strike before Marouane Fellaini restored parity ten minutes into the second half.
But Croatia international Klasnic wasn’t to be denied and netted his first goal in English football as he celebrated Gary Megson’s second anniversary in charge at the Reebok Stadium with a cool finish on 87 minutes.
Everton boss David Moyes admitted: “We’re a bit soft-centred at the moment.”
