Joblessness data and retail figures focus of quiet week – London Report
THE CORPORATE results season has past its peak, but the week ahead is due to see some big financial news nonetheless, including UK unemployment figures on Wednesday.
Tomorrow retail sales data will be published, while on Friday construction industry output figures will be out.
Prudential is reporting its half-year interims tomorrow after chief executive Tidjane Thiam was poached by Credit Suisse, with a consensus forecast of £1.73bn operating profit.
Today, esure Group and Gresham Computing publish results, while tomorrow Card Factory, Johnston Press, Hargreaves Services, Partnership Assurance Group, Serco Group, SIG and Synthomer reveal theirs.
Balfour Beatty, Capital & Regional, Glencore, G4S, Interserve, Lookers and New Europe Property Investments report on Wednesday.
On Thursday there will be financial results from: Bankers Petroleum, Cineworld Group, TUI, Coca-Cola HBC, Derwent London, Ithaca Energy, Michael Page International, Ophir Energy, Quarto Group and X5 Retail Group.
