Italian insurer Generali set to name new chief executive this week
Italian insurer Generali is set to name its new chief executive on Friday.
The new appointment will replace Mario Greco, who is moving to take over as chief executive of Zurich Insurance.
Two sources close to the matter told Reuters Philippe Donnet, the current head of Generali Italia, is the frontrunner for the role.

It is thought the appointment would see the powers of Alberto Minali, group chief financial officer, strengthened, the sources said.
Before joining Generali, Donnet worked for Axa as chief executive of the company's Asia-Pacific region.
Greco's departure emerged in January. He is to replace Tom de Swaan, who has been leading Zurich since Martin Senn quit as boss on 1 December, after the company’s attempted takeover of UK insurer RSA failed.
