Hello Fresh delivers healthy growth as it draws up recipe to break even
Meal kit firm Hello Fresh today posted a surge in its full-year and fourth quarter sales as it eyes plans to break even in 2019.
The figures
Revenues for the full year soared 41.4 per cent to €1.2bn (£1.03bn).
Losses before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation narrowed from €70.1m to €54.5m.
Total number of orders increased 43.1 per cent year-on-year to 27.1m.

Why it’s interesting
Hello Fresh, which delivers ready-made weekly meal kits to customers, saw a huge rise in revenues in 2018, its most successful year since it was founded in 2011.
This was boosted by a strong fourth quarter, which saw sales jump 43.1 per cent.
The Berlin-based company said it forecasts revenue growth of between 25 and 30 per cent for 2019, a slowdown from 2018, but expects to break even at some point this year.
