Hatton Garden heist: Eight suspects named ahead of court appearance today
Eight of the men arrested this week over the Hatton Garden heist have been named after being charged by detectives from the Flying Squad.
Terry Perkins, 67, of Enfield; John Collins, 74 of North London; Daniel Jones, 58 of Enfield; Hugh Doyle, 48 also of Enfield; William Lincoln, of East London; Brian Reader, 76 of Dartford; Paul Reader, 50 of Dartford and Carl Wood, 58 of Cheshunt, have all be charged with conspiracy to burgle.
All eight men have been remanded in custody to appear before Westminster Magistrates Court later today.
A ninth man has been bailed pending further enquiries.
A 10th man was arrested this morning at an address in Essex. The 42-year-old white British man has been taken to a London police station.
The men involved in the heist, which took place over the Easter bank holiday, are thought to have made off with up to £200m-worth of jewellery and other valuables, having forced open 70 safety deposit boxes.
They used a heavy-duty Hilti DD350 drill to make their way into the vault of Hatton Garden Security Deposit.
Police are still looking for the van thought to have been used in connection with the crime and are calling for witnesses who may have seen it to get in touch.
