Hammers keep pace with Saints
West Ham closed to within a point of Championship leaders Southampton with a 2-0 win at promotion rivals Cardiff. Captain Kevin Nolan and George McCartney scored goals in each half as the Hammers moved four points clear of third-placed Reading.
