Grid boss wants jobs education
National Grid chief executive Steve Holliday has called on the government to measure school success by students’ employability, rather than just exam results.
The FTSE 100 boss said changing the focus of what makes a school successful could help prepare students for working life. Holliday said: “The government should give as much weight to post-school destination as it does to academic achievement in measuring the success of schools.”
