Goldman profit almost doubles
US banking giant Goldamn Sachs has seen its profit for the first quarter of 2010 almost double.
The bank’s net earnings hit $3.46bn (£2.25bn) for the three months to March – compared with $1.8bn a year ago.
Goldman also revealed that it paid its employees will receive a £3.6bn bonus pot.
The results beat Wall Street forecasts with revenue penciled for $11bn, but hitting $12.8bn.
