Gatland vows to get tough
WALES coach Warren Gatland has vowed to make changes in a bid to turn his side’s Six Nations fortunes around against Italy.
Saturday’s 27-12 reverse to Ireland at Croke Park was Wales’ third defeat of a disappointing campaign and Gatland has vowed to get tough.
“There will be a few changes,” he said. “We need to make sure we finish this campaign on a real high.
“We need to perform. I’ve had a couple of bad days. I don’t take defeat easily or performances that I don’t think are acceptable.”
Ospreys fly-half Dan Biggar and Cardiff Blues flanker Sam Warburton are pushing for call-ups with the side expected to be announced by Gatland this lunchtime.
