Friday the 13th is lucky for these commuters getting a rally car to and from work
Friday the 13th may be considered the unluckiest day of the year by some, but weary commuters are in luck today.
A fleet of rally cars are super-charging Friday’s commute around the capital by offering to ferry people to and from their destinations throughout the day – thanks to Betfair.
No, it’s not the latest company muscling its way into the Uber-dominated taxi on demand business, but the latest attention-grabbing stunt by the online betting firm which parked an Octopus on Oxford Circus.
The cars – whose drivers happen to be dressed as horses (and why wouldn’t they be?) – will be pulling up at bus stops across the capital on routes with the worst waiting times.

“We couldn’t help but step in and bring a slice of luck to travellers with the horse-driven Betfair rally cars that feature in our new brand advert,” said Betfair spokesperson Naomi Totten.
Putting the rush into rush-hour, these are the routes to keep an eye on today if you fancy a lift rather than standing around in the rain.
