France keep up winning start
FRANCE shrugged off a lacklustre opening to record their second victory at the Rugby World Cup with a bonus-point 38-11 win over Romania at the Olympic Stadium last night.
Tries from full-back Sofiane Guitoune and flanker Yannick Nyanga – his first for France since November 2012 – gave Les Bleus a 17-6 half-time lead.
A second try from Guitoune as well as touchdowns from centre pairing Wesley Fofana ans Gael Fickou secured victory, despite a consolation score from Romania hooker Andrei Radoi. Victory was France’s fourth in succession, the first time they have achieved such a feat since 2012, and saw Philippe Saint-Andre’s side move to the summit of Pool D.
