King’s Cross train crash: Four people taken to hospital after Cambridge train collides with buffer at London rail station
Four people have been taken to hospital after a train collided with a buffer at King's Cross station this afternoon.
National Rail has confirmed the incident took place just before 12:20pm. Only minor injuries have been reported so far.
London Ambulance Service's tactical adviser Chris Hawkswell tweeted about the incident this afternoon, saying two ambulance crews had attended after a train "had a low-speed collision with the platform buffers".

"A small number of patients with minor injuries are being assessed by our ambulance crews," he added.
Eyewitnesses reported "lots of police" at the scene.

A British Transport Police (BTP) spokeswoman told City A.M.: “Our officers were called to Kings Cross station on Thursday, 17 September following a report that a train had hit the buffers at platform 11. The incident was reported to BTP at 12.18pm and involved the 10.55am Cambridge to Kings Cross service, which was travelling into the station at a slow speed.
“London Ambulance Service Medics also attended and four passengers have been taken to hospital where they will be treated for minor injuries.BTP and Network Rail are working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident. The Rail Accident Investigation Branch (RAIB) have been informed.”
