Former Morgan Crucible chief to face US officials
FORMER Morgan Crucible boss Ian Norris, who has been charged with price fixing and obstruction of justice, will be extradited to the US after a last ditch application to the European Court of Human Rights was turned down.
The decision means that Norris will now face the US Department of Justice on the charges.
Norris’ solicitor Alistair Graham at White & Case said the decision meant that all avenues in the UK had been exhausted.
He said: “It is extremely disappointing to learn that our application to the court has been turned down. As a result, Ian will shortly fly to the US to face, and defend himself against, the charges.”
Last month the Supreme Court unanimously ruled against his appeal of the extradition.
