Five storey building in Istanbul collapses
A five storey building in the Turkish capital of Istanbul has collapsed and a number of people are believed to be trapped inside, local media is reporting.
The Dogan news agency said the building – near Istanbul's pedestrian street Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), a main shopping district – collapsed on Friday afternoon.
A cafeteria was located at the entrance of the building, and it is thought some people were trapped in the building when the incident took place. The upper floors are thought to be residential.
