Cushman & Wakefield appoints Flower as its UK chief executive
CUSHMAN & Wakefield said yesterday it has appointed Digby Flower, its head of London markets, as its UK chief executive as part of a shake-up of its management team.
The property advisory firm, which has over 250 offices in 60 countries, said Flower will replace Bryan Laxton, who will step down in the new year and take up a European role within the group.
A well-known name within the property industry, Flower moved to Cushman & Wakefield last year after 17 years at rival agency CBRE, where he was a member of the central London board.
He has advised on a number of London’s most significant occupational deals during his career, including Land Securities on the forward sale of Bankside 1, known as the Blue Fin building, to IPC Magazines in 2007.
Flower has also been involved in the leasing of a number of major towers in the city including 99 Bishopsgate and 125 Old Broad Street, now owned by Brookfield.
Cushman, which is majority owned by EXOR, the investment firm of Italy’s Agnelli family, also announced that Rupert Dodson, head of valuation in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, will take over as UK chairman in January.
