I will probably in the next 2-3 years but at the moment I can’t. Fuel duty and road tax are huge costs and I don’t think the government is doing enough for the consumer, especially first-time buyers like me.

I’m Australian and haven’t bought a car in the UK yet but I think the government can do more to help out drivers. In Australia the government helps the industry with subsidies and job protection.

I think the government needs to help the industry by reducing the costs of driving. I’ve just graduated and am in an unpaid job internship in the City, so there’s no way I could afford to own a car.
