The Olympic Games have been a great success in uniting the country. There’s a real resurgence in British pride. The atmosphere has been overwhelmingly positive given all the initial pessimism and London has been a very welcoming environment to the rest of the world.

I’ve been enjoying the Olympics a lot with the excellent coverage and there’s great enthusiasm for Team GB and our athletes. It’s good to see everyone backing Britain, but perhaps the British pride won’t last long after the Games.
