BDO
The accountancy firm has appointed Tim Kirk as head of its advisory services practice, leading its offering in the risk, regulatory and management consulting areas.
Prior to joining BDO, Kirk was managing director of The Kirk Consultancy, a specialist marketing and customer experience consultancy serving FTSE 100 and global companies.
Prior to that, he was a director in Ernst & Young’s financial services practice.
Macquarie Capital
The banking group has hired Steve Baldwin as a managing director and head of UK corporate broking.
Baldwin joins from JP Morgan Cazenove, where he spent 10 years as a corporate broker and adviser. He recently advised oil explorer EnQuest on its demerger from Petrofac and Lundin Petroleum, and last year led equity raisings by insulation distributor SIG and property adviser DTZ.
PVE Capital
The macro credit fund manager has hired Loren Remetta as a portfolio manager from UBS and Helene Schutrumpf as a product specialist from Merrill Lynch.
In addition, Alexei Garan, Melody Adams and David Yuen all join from Credaris to strengthen PVE’s analytical and trading functions in asset-backed securities, collateralised debt obligations and financial modelling.
Ernst & Young
Tony Ward has been appointed as head of the accountancy giant’s power and utilities team across the UK and Ireland. Ward has been at EY for eight years.
