Collins Stewart
The financial advisory group has hired property research veteran Nan Rogers (pictured) and Jonathan Imlah to its small and mid cap equity research team.
Rogers has 25 years of experience and joins from Arbuthnot Securities. She has also worked at Bridgewell, Charterhouse and James Capel.
Imlah was formerly at Altium Securities, where he spent six years as a technology analyst and latterly head of research.
Heartwood
The independently-owned wealth manager has appointed Mark Wills as a relationship director, based in the firm’s London office.
Wills, who has over 25 years of industry experience, will be responsible for introducing Heartwood’s investment and wealth management services to new clients with liquid assets ranging from £1m to over £20m. He was one of the co-founders of UBS Wealth Management in the UK in 1999 and has spent the last 11 years at the firm as an executive director. In his spare time, he is also a governor of the Royal Star and Garter Homes, a charity caring for the ex-service community.
Standard Bank
Ewa Gracey has been appointed as director for loan syndication and sales at the banking group, effective immediately.
Gracey has over 20 years of experience in central and eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa debt capital markets, with expertise in a wide range of products including distressed debt, securitisation, bonds and loans as well as sukuks and Islamic financings.
She joins from Gatehouse Bank, where she set up and headed the placement team for its shariah-compliant capital markets products.
RBC Capital Markets
The corporate and investment banking group has hired Winston Quek and Amanda Lowe to its global FX team in the Asia-Pacific region.
Quek joins as a Singapore-based director from Calyon, where he was head of capital markets for Singapore. Lowe will be a vice president based in Sydney, and was formerly at State Street Global Markets.
Wedlake Bell
The City law firm has promoted Edward Starling, the head of its corporate rescue and restructuring team, to partner.
Starling joined the firm in 2001 and specialises in insolvency matters.
City Asset Management
Mark Godwin has joined the discretionary asset manager as a portfolio manager from Banco Comercial Portugues, where he was responsible for equity fund selection for the bank’s global private banking network.
