The oil giant has appointed Ian Davis, the former chairman of consultancy giant McKinsey, as a non-executive director, effective from April.
David is currently senior partner of McKinsey, where he has worked for over three decades. He was chairman and worldwide managing director between 2003 and 2009, and prior to that was managing partner of McKinsey in the UK and Ireland.
LCH Clearnet
The clearing house has appointed Jacques Aigrain as its new non-executive chairman, replacing Chris Tupker, who announced his intention to step down last year.
He was previously chief executive of insurer Swiss Re from 2006 to 2009, having spent 19 years at JP Morgan Chase.
Panmure Gordon
Hannah Woodley has joined the stockbroker as an associate director in the corporate broking team.
Woodley has most recently been involved in marketing hedge fund Essential Capital Management. Prior to that, she worked in equity sales at Noble, having cut her broking teeth at Collins Stewart.
Canaccord Financial
The brokerage has hired a senior sales trading team from Australian bank Macquarie, consisting of Ken Wesson, Daniel Addison, Andy Willson and Stephen O’Brien.
Wesson, who will head up the firm’s sales trading team, was previously head of pan-European equity sales trading at Fox Pitt Kelton, now Macquarie, while Addison was head of pan-European trading.
