Signia Wealth
The ultra high net worth wealth manager has hired mobile phones tycoon John Caudwell to take up a seat on its advisory board.
Caudwell will provide entrepreneurial leadership for the firm alongside its other advisers, including private equity guru Jon Moulton.
Caudwell previously founded and led the Caudwell Group, including mobile phone retailer Phones 4 U. He sold the group in 2006 for £1.46bn.
Rathbones
The investment management firm has appointed Christine Lane as an investment director in its New Bond Street head office.
Lane joins from HSBC Global Asset Management and specialises in managing investments for private clients, trusts, pensions and charities.
She is also a fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments.
Legal & General Property
The property-focused fund management group has appointed Timothy Russell as senior asset manager of its Property Unit Trust, Sofia Underabi as business development analyst and Nick Eldridge as asset manager of its Managed Fund.
Russell joins from Cushman & Wakefield, where he acted for Hermes and The Wellcome Trust.
Underabi was previously a senior analyst at IPD, while Elvidge previously joined L&G Property from Knight Frank on a six-month secondment.
F&C
The investment group has appointed Eberhard Glöckner as director for institutional sales, based out of its Frankfurt office.
Glöckner previously spent 15 years at Allianz Global Investors, initially as a portfolio manager and then in sales and client servicing. He has also worked at Dresdner Bank and Landeszentralbank Koblenz.
Aviva
The insurer has appointed Anthony Middle as UK strategic partnerships director.
Middle will join in December from rival Axa, where he was most recently managing director of commercial lines for the UK general insurance business.
Morrisons
The supermarket group has announced some changes to its team of directors. Martyn Jones, the group trading director, will move into a new role as group corporate services director, focusing on government affairs, corporate responsibility, public relations and food safety.
In addition, Richard Hodgson has joined the group as the new commercial director. Hodgson, 40, was previously director of buying and then commercial director at Waitrose. Prior to that, he spent ten years working in senior roles at Asda.
