Cushman & Wakefield
The world’s largest privately-held commercial real estate services firm has appointed Sophie Hodges as consulting manager in its Europe, Middle East and Asia business consulting team. Hodges rejoins from Ernst & Young, having previously worked at Cushman & Wakefield as a client solutions consultant from 2007 to 2009.
In her new role she will advise clients on improving business performance through real estate by reducing costs, increasing revenues, and mitigating operational and financial risk.
Threadneedle
International asset manager Threadneedle Investments has appointed June Wong to the position of regional vice chairman, chief executive Hong Kong, and global consultant relations. Wong joins Threadneedle from AllianceBernstein, where she was head of institutions, Asia Ex-Japan. She was also a board member of AllianceBernstein Hong Kong.
Linklaters
The global law firm has appointed Gideon Moore as its new global head of banking.
Moore has been partner at Linklaters since 1999, where he co-heads the firm’s leveraged finance practice, and has extensive knowledge of acquisition finance and corporate lending.
Jefferies
The global securities and investment banking firm has appointed David Reynolds as a senior analyst in its global TIMT equity research team. Reynolds was most recently a senior vice president in equity research at JP Morgan, where he spent four years and led European technology coverage.
Barclays Corporate
The global financial services provider has appointed Filipe Oliveira as relationship director in its funds team. Oliveira’s focus will be on providing corporate and investment banking solutions to asset managers and funds across Western Europe. He joins from the Bank of New York Mellon.
Aqua Resources Fund
The closed-ended investment fund has appointed Jonathan Hooley as a new independent non-executive director. Hooley will also act as chairman of the audit committee. He is also chairman of the Channel Islands Stock Exchange and holds a number of other non-executive directorships.
American Century Investments
The independent privately-held asset management firm has appointed Simon Chester as a portfolio manager. Chester will be responsible for security selection of non-US credit securities supporting the firm’s fixed income strategies that invest in corporate securities outside the US. Chester joined the firm in November 2010.
