Cluttons
The equity partners of real estate services firm Cluttons have elected Steven Morgan (pictured), current Middle East chief exec, as the business’ new senior partner, with the role to commence at the start of the company’s new financial year in April. Steve, who is an existing board member of Cluttons and has been with the company for 13 years will become the youngest senior partner in company’s 250 year history at 39 years of age. Steve will succeed the current senior partner Bill Siegle, who will be stepping down after seven years in the role and 19 years as an equity partner at Cluttons.
Lewis Silkin
City law firm Lewis Silkin LLP has appointed renowned planning law expert Paul Winter to the firm’s real estate and development team. Paul, who joins the firm as a consultant, is a specialist planning lawyer with particular expertise in planning strategy and execution. His career spans 40 years and includes serving as head of Eversheds’ national planning team. Paul has worked on a number of high profile complex development schemes including the London Olympics and the regeneration of Arsenal Stadium.
Fieldfisher
European law firm Fieldfisher has boosted its IP Group, and its life sciences practice, with the hire of Rouse’s three partner life sciences patent litigation team. The team is led by internationally renowned patent litigator Diana Sternfeld, who established Rouse’s patent practice in 2001. With over 20 years’ experience in a broad range of patent disputes, Diana is particularly well known as a long-standing adviser to several major pharmaceutical companies for whom she has acted in all UK courts as well as internationally. Diana will be joined by Nicole Jadeja, who joined Rouse from Nabarro in January 2008, and Rebecca Baines, who joined from Slaughter and May in September 2005. Both were made partners in 2014.
Chubb Global Markets
Chubb Global Markets (CGM), the London-based wholesale insurance division of Chubb, has appointed Mark Edmondson, formerly head of marine for legacy Chubb Syndicate 1882, as head of marine for CGM. He will be responsible for the performance and development of CGM’s marine portfolio. Mark has 30 years of marine insurance experience. He was part of the team that launched legacy Chubb’s Lloyd’s platform in 2010 and was appointed marine class Underwriter of Syndicate 1882 in 2013. Mike Reynolds, formerly product head for hull and liability for legacy Ace Global Markets, has been appointed to new role of deputy head of marine for CGM, reporting to Mark. Mike joined legacy Ace in 2001.
